APRIL 25, 26, 27 2025
The Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Dark Sky Land, Inc., and the National Religious Partnership for the Environment are bringing communities together to experience beauty and cultural importance of the dark skies along the CDT in and around Pie Town, New Mexico.
Thru hikers on the CDL Trail and anyone interested in the magic of the night skies are encouraged to attend to learn more about this important region of New Mexico and the organizations collaborating to inform and educate on the importance of this area and what we can do to preserve this beautiful gift.
The gathering takes place at Jackson Park in Pie Town on April 25, 26, and 27 and will include presentations and night-time observations led by astronomers. There will also be an opportunity to join discussion and reflexion on the spiritual importance of the cosmos.
There is a free campground (dry) adjacent to the park and arrangements are being made to have food available and a catered meal on Saturday night. Music will be provided on the patio of the Gatherin Place II on Sunday. There are two restaurants across from the park and of course, PIE!
